Yes, there are various forms of color.

Open your Photoshop and look at the mode item under the Image menu, which has a long list of names, what are those? Let's go slowly.

RGB Color Mode

The display we face every day is based on this feature, which consists of RGB colors. This is the basis of the RGB color pattern.

The display produces color by emitting three different intensities of light, making the red, green, and blue phosphorescent materials covered on the inside of the screen glow. The dot-like color stimulated by the electron beam is called "Pixel (Pixel)". The pixels on the screen show 256 shades of gray, and in Photoshop we make different colors by adjusting the values of 0-255 of each color. Now our system supports the 24-bit color number, which is what we call the millions of True colors (256*256*256=16.7m).

CMYK color Mode

People who have contacted the printing know that the color of the printing plate is cyan (cyan), magenta (magenta), yellow (yellow) and black. This is the CMYK color mode. The basis of this color pattern is not to increase the light, but to subtract the light, so cyan, magenta and yellow are called "subtractive primary Colors".

Our display is to emit light, and the printed paper is naturally unable to emit light, it only absorbs and reflects the light, so we have to use another color mode: CMYK, even with red, green, blue complementary color to produce colors. So the reflected light is the color we need.

Since it is three colors, why do you want to add black?

I add cyan, magenta and yellow to not produce black, but only a deep brown color. So add one more black.

HSB Color Mould

Color (Hue), saturation (saturation) and brightness (brightness) may be more appropriate to people's habits, it is not the color of the digital to different values, but based on the feeling of color.

We can think of color as colour on the wheel.

Color [Hue]: Light waves that are reflected back from an object or transmitted through an object.

saturation [saturation]: often also known as Chroma, is the number of gray in a color, the more gray, the less saturation.

Bright brightness [brightness]: a measure of the intensity of light in a color. The brighter the brightness, the brighter the color.

Lab Color Mode

Lab is one of the criteria for marking colors specified by the CIE (Commission International d ' eclairage International Lighting Commission). It does not seem to have much to do with us, but it is widely used in the color printing and reproduction level.

L: Refers to the brightness; A: from Green to red; B: from Blue to yellow.

The CIE color mode is a mathematical representation of color, so it does not depend on a particular device, so that the color that the output device is calibrated to maintain is consistent.

The lab color space covers RGB and CMYK.

And Photoshop from the RGB color mode to the CMYK color mode, but also through the lab to do the intermediate amount done.
