In fact, as a visual designer, I have always been confused about the visual performance of such styles. What kind of design can be regarded as a fresh one? Is this just a vague feeling? During a recent operation sharing training, some operation personnel asked me how to PS out pictures with a small fresh style, this also caused me to think deeply about the performance of this type of visual design. The following are some of my contents. It helps me extract the key points of this type of style in the visual presentation layer, just a little bit of attention, a little bit of design sentiment.

First, where are the most distinctive or representative elements in the "small fresh" we can see?

For this reason, I found a lot of pictures with a "small fresh" tag, and found that women are always the most frequently seen in this type of style pictures, whether it is the back or the legendary 45 degrees angle, there are also elements with travel elements such as vintage leather boxes, railways, backpacks, etc., as well as micro-camera, sunlight, distinctive static things and other elements, and in photography, large Aperture, intentional over-exposure, backlight shooting, casual lomo style, etc.

　　

 

Secondly, in addition to the common elements mentioned above, color is also an important aspect. But from the literal meaning of "small fresh", is her color completely a light and refreshing color? I analyzed the sentiment version through her and the other two derivative keywords, and extracted key colors and made minor adjustments through the Colorhunter site, find the color changes.

　　

 

Again, we can use the sentiment analysis to extract colors and find that the color saturation is not high in the "small fresh" visual colors, and from the perspective of the entire three-dimensional color model, she is at the bottom of the highest position of the brightness axis and has a gray tone, which may be used to better display the unique visual style or the feeling of nostalgia or sorrow.
