Quota Template

When managing SharePoint Farm, the Administrator does not want the Site Collection to grow without limit. Therefore, you need to set a size for the Site, which cannot exceed.

 

However, it may be difficult to set each Site Collection separately. For example, if every employee has a personal site, if there are hundreds of people, it will be very troublesome to set them one by one.

 

In SharePoint, you can set a Quota template to reuse it. Use the Farm administrator to log on to Central Administration and go to Application Management:

SharePoint has a built-in Personal template.

You can also create a new one here. When you create a new instance, there are two limits: one is the maximum capacity and the other is the alarm capacity. If the Site Collection size reaches the alarm capacity, an email is sent to the Site Collection administrator.

 

After saving, you can select the new Quota template in the newly created Site Collection.
