Personalized logon experience:
The image password consists of two complementary components. This includes an image in your image collection and a group of gestures you draw on the image. You do not have to choose from a pre-defined Microsoft image library. You can provide images on your own to improve password security and ease of memory. You can decide the content of the image and which parts of the image are important. In addition, you will see a very important image, just like the image that many people see on their mobile phone locked screens.
The core of the image password function design is to mark the most important part of the image for you. It requires a set of gestures for you to quickly and accurately mark these parts. To determine the best gesture combination to be used, we distributed a group of images to the people involved in the study and asked them to mark the most important part of the image. That is to say, we have not provided any additional instructions. We found that the participants performed three basic operations: Marking locations, connecting specific areas or marking paths, and labeling specific areas. We map these operations to click, line, and circle. We found that this is the minimum gesture combination required to mark the most important part of an image.
For circles and line gestures, it also has an attribute, which can be added with a layer of protection in terms of personalization and security: that is, the direction. When you draw circles or lines on the selected image, Windows remembers how you draw them. Therefore, when someone tries to crack your image password, they not only need to know the part of the image you marked and the order of marking, but also the direction and start and end points used to draw circles and lines.
We also studied the use of arbitrary gestures. When we looked at this concept, during the design iteration and investigation phases, we found that such systems had major defects: the login took too long. As I described above, we want to find a solution that is faster than a touch keyboard. In the process of developing this function, we determine whether our method is successful based on the time spent on the login using the touch keyboard. We found that it takes a longer time for users to log on to the system when users are allowed to use any gesture. Users are stuck by their mindset, leading to slow login speeds. They believe that they need to precisely locate and track image details in the image.
Experiment 2: folder hiding

After entering the "View" option of the folder, we will find that the Win8 folder options are basically set here, and setting the display folder options is also hidden in the "options" on the rightmost side, therefore, as shown in the following figure, click "options ":

We want to display hidden files, you only need to remove the check box before "hide protected system files (recommended)", and then select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives, click "OK" at the bottom to complete the settings, as shown in the figure below:

If you want to add a friend with frequent contact to the list of common contacts, you only need to click "+" on the common contacts to add them. The common contacts are displayed on the main interface in the form of a big Avatar, which is very eye-catching.

In order to inherit the instant messaging function of MSN, the Skype of Metro also adds the contact chat function. Click a friend on the main interface to start chatting. On the chat session panel, in addition to sending messages via messenger, you can also chat via text message, but this service requires a certain number of Skype points.
In addition, the Metro version of Skype has also carefully designed a rich chat expression system for users. Although it is not so rich as QQ expressions, have you ever seen such a fierce HD expression?
In addition to the instant chat function, Skype also retains its most classic voice and video call functions. You only need to click the dial button on the left side of the session panel to call friends, two call methods are available: instant call between Skype and mobile phone or landline call over Skype.

After both parties establish a call connection, we can choose whether to enable the video component to switch between voice and video calls. Through the menu key, we can select the dial-up keyboard or instant chat dialog box, in this way, we can chat and write. Through a simple trial, we found that the Metro version of Skype is quite good in terms of call stability and quality.

Speaking of Skype calls, you have to mention the Skype's network phone function. You can use the call button on the main interface to enter the network phone interface. After selecting the country to call, you can call the required landline or mobile phone number on the dial-up panel. If your Skype balance is insufficient, the software also provides a very convenient purchase channel.

So far, users in these places have been "enduring" American English, and Microsoft admitted that it should have done so, however, because both English languages use the same main language code "ISO 3166-2 EN", Microsoft engineers have made a lot of effort, this is also the main reason why it took so long to join British English.
