Slow login speed

The lan network structure of a building is very simple. About 100 computers are distributed on the sixth floor. Computers on each floor are distributed through 24 real-name switches, connect to the QUIDWAY S3050 master switch of the LAN.

The Web servers, printing servers, and some important computers are all independently connected to a real-time core switch. These real-time switches are cascade with the main switch through M twisted pair wires. In normal times, all common computers in the LAN can share access with each other, and they can also normally access important hosts such as the Web server and print server of the Organization.

However, a notification message was recently issued by the Organization on the LAN Web server, asking all employees to respond in succession When They browsed the Internet, saying that the login speed to the Web server was very slow, there is no feeling of just one breath in one breath.

A fault is a command. After receiving a call with a slow logon speed, I immediately open my laptop and run the ping command to test the IP address of the Web server. The results returned by the test operation are as follows. The IP address of the Web server can be pinged in a short time, but cannot be pinged in a short time. In addition, the server response time is also relatively long when pinged, Which is compared with the time when the usual response time is less than 1 ms, it seems that there is a network fault in the LAN.

Since most employees in the LAN are not able to log on to the Web server of the Organization normally, will this server work unexpectedly? As we all know, Web servers continue to work for a long time, which is especially prone to slow response.

After all, the server usually processes a large number of requests. If the number of access requests processed by the server exceeds a certain standard within the same period of time, the server's system resources may be quickly exhausted, in this way, the Web server system cannot run normally.

With this in mind, I immediately remotely started the server system. After the server is successfully started, I ping the IP address of the server again and found that the ping command response time is still abnormal; when I try to log on, I can see that the access speed is still slow. In order to confirm that the switch failure is irrelevant to the working status of the Web server.

I tested the IP addresses of printing servers and other important computers, and found that these important computer ip addresses cannot be pinged normally, which indicates that the problem is indeed not on the Web server, after excluding the abnormal status of the Web server, I began to suspect that there was a virus in the LAN network, which caused the blockage of the entire network transmission channel.

I transfer shared files with other computers and find that the file transmission speed is normal. This proves that the network transmission channel of the LAN is not blocked, even if the computer in the LAN is infected with a network virus, it will not have a substantial impact on the operation of the login server.
