What does the Extron helper do not recognize the device?

After your phone is plugged into a data cable to connect to your computer, you can turn on the AI assistant but not recognize the device or display device connection timeout, which is usually caused by an unstable device connection or a computer service, which causes an abnormal driver to be resolved according to the following workaround.

　　One, the data cable and the computer USB interface normal state

Please make sure your data cable is Apple genuine data cable, not cottage or fake, if it is false may cause the USB connection is unstable, there will be a sudden disconnection phenomenon.

Disconnect after connection may be the USB connection is not stable, it is recommended to plug the data cable into the computer chassis behind the USB interface and try again.

　　Second, whether the computer side installs itunes and the device is normal

Confirm that your computer has itunes installed, and if you do not have itunes installed, you need to download the latest version of itunes installation, after the installation, the computer will install the driver after connecting the device.

If the computer already has itunes installed, the ACE Assistant is still unable to connect, confirm that the phone has a screen lock, if you want to remove the screen lock, Plug and unplug the phone and Point trust on the phone.

If you have a password locked or the iphone has been deactivated is not able to read the device information, you can enter the DFU mode or recovery mode to connect the device directly to the brush machine or other operations.

　　Third, confirm whether the computer driver is normal

3.1, because the iphone connection to the Extron assistant needs itunes driver, if the computer's itunes driver exception will cause the connection is not on, first click "My Computer" right button, select "Manage", pop-up interface Select "Services and Applications", click "Services" to see if there is an installation "Apple Mobile device Service "(or Apple mobile devices), which is the driver of the iphone, may not be linked to the phone because the service is not enabled properly.

If the service is not started, right click on "Start". If it is started, right-click on the service, tap "re-enable", then restart the Extron assistant, then connect Iphone/ipad to the computer to try. If there is an error restarting the service prompt, please uninstall itunes completely before installing.

3.2, please make sure your device is connected to the computer, the phone is charging (ensure that the data line is good), and "My Computer" has the iphone feature recognition "XXX's iphone digital camera (XP)" or "Apple iphone (Win 7)" (as shown below), If not, it could be a computer USB drive problem or a data cable connection problem.

3.3, please confirm that my Computer Device Manager does not hit the exclamation point drive!

Right click on "My Computer"-management-Device Manager-Universal Serial Bus controller-apple Mobile device USB Driver, there is no exclamation mark, if there is, please right-click Update Driver.

If the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not listed under Universal Serial Bus Controller, you will need to manually install the driver:

1. Tap portable device in Device Manager, then right-click the Apple IPhone, Apple IPad, or Apple IPod entry and choose Update Driver from the shortcut menu.

2. Click "Browse the computer to find the driver software".

3. Click "Choose from a list of device drivers in your computer."

5. In the "Install From Disk" dialog box, click the "Browse" button.

6. Browse to the following folder: C:Program FilesCommon filesapplemobile Device supportdrivers.

7. Double-click the "USBAAPL" file. (If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows, this file is "Usbaapl64".) If you do not see "usbaapl64" here, or if you do not have a "Drivers" folder, find it separately in "C:Program Files (x86) Common filesapplemobile Device supportdrivers".

8. Click OK on the "Install from Disk" dialog box.

9. Click "Next" and complete the driver installation procedures. Then reseat the system to verify that the device is recognized correctly.

　Sometimes it may be that itunes driver is incomplete or mistakenly deleted, you need to completely uninstall itunes and then reinstall itunes after the test.

Because itunes involves multiple interdependent components, uninstall itunes and related components in the programs and features in Control Panel (uninstall all Publishers for Apple Inc) in the following order, and then reinstall itunes after the uninstallation is complete.

Finally, re-open the AI Assistant to connect to the device. If the above methods can not be connected, it is possible that the data cable or computer USB interface for the reasons, you may try to change the data cable or USB interface to reconnect.
