What if the mercury router cannot log on to the router's management interface?

In the process of using routers, you often need to login to the admin interface. After you enter the admin address in the browser address bar, the admin page cannot be displayed, or the page cannot be displayed after you enter the admin password, as shown below:

If you are unable to log in to the admin interface and may be related to factors such as routers, lines, browsers, or computers, please follow these instructions for detailed troubleshooting.

Solutions

Line Check

The operation of the computer to connect with the router, can be connected by network cable or wireless way.

connected through a network cable : The operating computer needs to be connected to the router's LAN port (1, 2, 3, 4 arbitrary LAN port), and to ensure that the computer network cable interface and the router corresponding to the interface light.

Wireless Connection : The wireless terminal needs to connect the router signal, the factory setting, the router default signal is: mercury_xxxx (x means the MAC address after four digits), can be viewed to the MAC address on the router bottom sticker. The following figure:

Note : If the wireless router signal is not searched, it is recommended to reset the router.

Computer Configuration Check

The computer cannot log in to the admin interface if it does not specify or obtain the correct IP address.

Make sure that the IP address of the operating computer is set to automatically obtain. Take the Windows 7 system wired network card As an example, the computer automatically obtains the IP address the setting method may refer to the following animation:

Routing address checking

Our router currently has two types of login address, different router address may be different:

Admin page address: melogin.cn or 192.168.1.1

For a specific login address, check the sticker at the bottom of the router, as shown below:

After confirming the login address, open the browser, clear the Address bar and enter the administrative address (take melogin.cn as an example), enter the following figure:

Note : Note the letter capitalization and the points entered (do not enter a period).

Logon password is correct

If you can eject the password entry box for the login admin interface, entering the wrong password will prevent you from logging into the admin interface.

Our three kinds of common default login password prompt box is shown in the following table:

Note : If you forget to set or modify the admin password, you can only restore the factory settings.

Try a different computer or browser

A. changing browsers

Try to change Google Chrome, Firefox, 360 browsers, Baidu or QQ browsers.

B. trying to log on with a mobile phone

If you are unable to log on with your computer, try replacing another computer or using your mobile phone to log in to the Admin interface (using your mobile browser), as shown in the following figure, to enter melogin.cn as an example:

Restore Router factory settings

If you follow the above methods, you still cannot log on to the admin interface and recommend that you restore the factory settings. There are two types of wireless router reset keys: Reset small hole and reset button. The following figure:

Reset Method : Under the power state, hold down the reset key for 5-8 seconds, when the system Status indicator light Flash 5 times, and then release the reset button, (reset small hole to use paper clips, NIB and other sharp-like things hold).

Note : The WPS and reset of some wireless routers share a button.
