What if Word 2007 cannot run and Word 2007 cannot be started?

Procedure:

1. Start Word security mode. Click Start. In the search box, enter winword/safe and press Enter. Is the problem still solved?

 

2. Select "Office"-"word option"-"add-on" and click "Go" to clear the add-on.

 

3. Remove all files in C:/program files/Microsoft Office/office12/startup and C:/user/<account>/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Word/STARTUP. (In office/startup, templates and add-ons automatically loaded when word is started)

 

4. Remove the Normal. dotm file.

 

The default path is stored in the C:/Users/<account>/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Templates folder.

 

If you find that ~ $ Normal. dotm hides the file. We recommend that you delete it.

 

6. Rename the key values in the following Registry:

 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office/12.0/Word

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Office/word/addins

 

Select a folder, right-click the folder, and click rename. Rename Word to Word1 and Addins to Addins1. Restart Word to test whether the problem occurs.
