What is a CSR? What is a public and private key?

The CSR is the abbreviation for cerificate Signing request, which is the certificate requests file. We want to prove that our site is trustworthy, data transmission is encrypted, we need to be issued by a third-party CA agency certificate to prove, such as Symantec,geotrust and so on.

To apply for such a certificate, our first step is to generate our own CSR file.

The CSR needs to be provided by the applicant to provide the domain name, company name, department, province, city, country with the help of the relevant tools generated, the tool also generates a certificate request file and a private key file, where the certificate request file is a CSR file, the two files are matched, we submit the CSR file to the CA to request a certificate, After the identity of the applicant is approved by the CA, the certificate public key is issued, the applicant receives the certificate file, and the certificate public key file with the private key file is converted into a server-formatted file to be deployed on the HTTP server, so that our site is trusted.
