Because the suspension of materials in a fluidized bed is like a boiling liquid, it is also called a boiling bed, in addition, it presents the fluid properties in many aspects, such as a clear interface, and maintain the level; if the flow rate is increased, almost all the particles are taken away by the airflow, it becomes a gas transport. Therefore, the airflow speed is the most fundamental control factor of the fluidized bed dryer. The appropriate airflow speed should be between making the material layer flow and bringing the material out.
The heat transfer of fluidized bed can pass through the outer jacket or in-bed heat exchanger. When a bed heat exchanger is used, in addition to the requirements of the general heat exchanger, the impact on the Material Flow in the bed must also be taken into account, that is, the form and installation method of heat exchanger should be as beneficial as possible to the normal flow of fluid. Practice has proved that when a tube heat exchanger is used, it is difficult for the tube to be dispersed and streamed in the dry medium flow in the mud paste material with a viscosity of 2/5 and a high moisture content from the center of the equipment. Put some inert carrier (such as Z sand, alumina, wrong oxide ball, granular salt) at the bottom of the dryer, when they flow at a certain flow rate, the wet material will be attached to its surface, and then it will become a dry shell. Due to the collision and friction of the inert carrier, the dry shell may fall off and be taken away by the media stream. The carrier itself is in contact with the new wet material and then forms a dry shell. So that the fine wet adhesive material can be fully dried in the fluidized bed drying machine.
