Socket 775, also known as the socket T, is the interface to the CPU currently applied to the Intel LGA775 package, with the LGA775 encapsulated single core Pentium 4, Pentium 4 EE, Celeron D as well as dual-core Pentium D and Pentium EE and other CPUs. Unlike the previous socket 478 interface CPU, the socket 775 interface CPU has no traditional pins at the bottom, instead of 775 contacts, which are not pins but contacts, and transmit signals by contacting 775 contacts in the corresponding socket 775 slot. The socket 775 interface can not only improve the signal strength of the processor, but also increase the processor frequency, and improve the yield of the processor and reduce the production cost. With socket 478 Fading, Socket 775 has become the standard interface for Intel desktop CPUs.

Socket 754 is the CPU interface for the September 2003 AMD64 desktop Platform when it was originally released, with 754 CPU pins and only single channel DDR memory. This interface currently has a low-end model of Athlon 64 for the desktop platform and a high-end model of Sempron, as well as mobile Sempron, mobility Athlon 64, and Turion 64. With AMD's overall shift from 2006 to supporting DDR2 memory, Socket 754 of the desktop platform will gradually be replaced by socket AM2, allowing AMD's desktop processor interface to unify, while the mobile platform socket 754 will gradually be 638 CPU pins , the socket S1 that supports dual channel DDR2 memory is replaced. Socket 754 completes its historical mission at the end of 2007 and is eliminated, and its lifespan is much longer than it once claimed to replace its socket 939.
