An error occurs when you connect to Oracle:

Cannot load oci dll 87:

Instant Client package is required for Basic and TNS connection.

Cause:

Oracle requires a client to connect a third-party tool through OCI (Oracle Call Interface.

Solution:

1. Go to the oracle official website to download Instant Client 11 ,? Download instantclient_11_2.rar.

2. decompress the package directly to the custom directory.

3. Navicat --> tool --> option ...? --> Others? --> OCI

OCI library (oci. dll) *: Select? C: \ instantclient_11_2 \ oci. dll

SQL * Plus: Select? C: \ instantclient_11_2 \ sqlplus.exe

4. Try again to connect to the Oracle database. OK!
