What to do when the computer memory is not always prompt enough
The computer memory is always insufficient solution one:
The default state is to let the system manage virtual memory, however, the system default settings are usually more conservative management, in the automatic adjustment will cause the paging file is not continuous, and reduce the efficiency of reading and writing, the efficiency is not high, so often appear "insufficient memory" such a hint, the following self to set it.
1, right click on the desktop "My Computer" icon, the right button appears in the menu select the "Properties" option to open the System Properties window. Click the "Advanced" tab in the window and the dialog box for advanced settings appears.
2. Click the "Settings" button in the "Performance" area to open its dialog box by selecting the "Advanced" tab in the Performance Options window that appears.
3, in the dialog box can see the area of virtual memory, click the "Change" button to enter the "Virtual Memory" settings window. Select a partition with larger free capacity, check the box before custom size, fill in the initial size, maximum column, then click the "set → ok" button, and then restart the computer to take effect on the virtual memory settings.
4, here can be divided into a small partition dedicated to virtual memory, ie temporary file storage and other uses, the partition can be regularly disk collation, so as to better improve the efficiency of the computer.
Computer memory is always insufficient solution two:
One, open the program too many
If there are too many documents open at the same time or too many programs are running, there is not enough memory to run other programs. At this point, for multiple-document interface (MDL) programs, such as Word, Excel, and so on, close all documents outside the current document and exit the currently unused programs, and then perhaps you will be able to continue to perform tasks that have been interrupted due to "out-of-memory".
Second, the Clipboard takes up too much memory
In fact, the Clipboard is a temporary area in memory, and when you use the copy or Cut command in your program, Windows temporarily stores the copied or cut content and its formatting in the Clipboard for "paste" use. If the current clipboard holds a picture, the Clipboard takes up a lot of memory. At this point, use the following procedure to clear the contents of the Clipboard and free up the memory resources it occupies:
1. Click Start, point to Programs or all programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Clipboard Viewer to open the Clipboard Viewer window.
2. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
3. Close the Clipboard Viewer window.
To differentiate the multiple clipboard provided by Microsoft Office programs, the aforementioned clipboard is often referred to as the system Clipboard. If you are using the Micros Oftoffice program and use its multiple clipboard features, you should empty the items on the Office Clipboard by: On the Office Clipboard task pane (OFFICEXP) or toolbars (Office2000), Click Empty all or empty the Clipboard. The system Clipboard will also be emptied when the Office Clipboard is emptied
Third, restart the computer
If you exit only the program and do not restart the computer, the program may not be able to return the memory resources to the system. Restart the computer to free system resources, and then run the program again or perform the interrupted task.
There are too many programs running automatically
V. Let Windows manage virtual memory settings
If you do not have settings for Windows to manage virtual memory or to disable virtual memory, your computer may not function correctly, you may receive a "Out of memory" message, or the same error message occurs when you run a program.
1. Click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
2. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Performance tab, and then click the Virtual Memory button.
3. Select the "Let Windows manage virtual memory settings-(recommended)" option to set the amount of hard disk space that can be used as virtual memory on your computer to the default value. At this point, virtual memory paging "WIN386.SWP" can be dynamically reduced and magnified according to actual memory usage, with a minimum capacity of 0 and a maximum capacity of all available space on the hard disk.
4. Click "OK" button.
Vi. increasing available disk space
Because Windows uses hard disk space in the virtual memory paging file to simulate RAM, you may have set up to let Windows manage virtual memory, but the drive that contains the virtual memory paging file (the default is the hard disk partition on which the Windows system resides) does not have enough space. "Out of Memory" error. At this point, do one or more of the following to increase the amount of free space on the drive where the Windows virtual memory paging file resides:
1. Empty the Recycle Bin by right-clicking the Recycle Bin on the desktop, and then clicking Empty Recycle Bin.
2. Remove temporary files from disk by: Open the Windows Explorer or My Computer window, right-click the disk for which you want to free space, and then click Properties, on the General tab, click the Disk Cleanup button, and then select the check boxes for the unwanted files that you want to delete. You can read the description of each file type in the area below the list and click OK.
3. Remove expired or archived files from the disk. The common trouble of ideal ks600c speed printing machine
