What to do with a USB disk or a removable disk being write protected

U disk itself is now a lot of u disk has a write protection switch, as long as the top switch a twist, you can only read, not written, this function is to protect u disk from viruses.

What to do if the disk is write-protected

1. To the system directory C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers see if there is a Sptd.sys file. Remove it and reboot. Problem solved! Note: This sptd.sys is not from Microsoft Windows. (may be installed daemon tools mounted)

2.1. There are mapped network drives in the system. Causes the letter to not be allocated to the disk.

Workaround: Disconnect the mapped network drive.

3. The disk character is hidden.

Solution:

Enter Registry Editor

Two: After entering the Registry Editor, we find in turn: Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\control\storagedevicepolicies project,

Three: Find the storagedevicepolicies item, we can find the "writeprotect" table in the right-hand window, we put the mouse on the Writeprotect click the left mouse button selection, and then click the right mouse button to choose "Modify" to change the value to 0,

Change the registry Writeprotect value to 0
Note: This part of the user feedback, the above location can not find the Writeprotect registry entries, if not found in the above blank location to create a new Writeprotect registry key, the value is set to 0.

4. Disk is not properly formatted
the general U disk is the use of HD (HDD FAT16) format, if the use of U disk to start the program changes, you may not be the correct format. Please repartition the hard disk partition software with PQ and PPM;

5.USB Removable Storage device is disabled
