What will the next version of ArcGIS SDK for Android look like?

2012 is coming to an end. After nearly half a year, the ESRI mobile team will release the next version of arcgisruntimesdk for Android in the early 2013 S. As a new year's holiday, let's preview it first, let's see what will happen!

New features:

• Supports Network Analysis (online mode ). Including routing, service area, closest facility;
• Add a "find" task. You can search for multiple layers and fields in map;
• Supports "wrap around" map browsing mode. That is, the map can be smoothly switched to the international date change line during translation;
• Supports temporal layers. Dataset needs to store the changing state information;
• Highlight elements. The selected elements can be highlighted with symbols;
• Supports loading the encryption service on ArcGIS online;
• The Graphic Element in graphicslayer adds the Z attribute to help control and manage the order of drawing;
• Add geocode service.
  

New layer type:

• WMS;
• Kml;
• CSV;
• Open Street Map.

SDK enhancement:

• The online sample is added. You can not only open the local samples in the eclipse development environment, but also use the sample in ArcGIS online;
• Javadoc will become more useful
• You can search for javadoc APIs in API reference directly;
• The UML model is integrated into javadoc.

API improvement:

• The advanced rendering API has changed to support the latest updates in the 2525c Symbol Dictionary;
• Supports 10.1 enhanced queries (convenient statistics ).
