When VMware starts the system, the following error occurs: reason: failed to lock the file.

An error occurred when starting the VMware system:

Cannot open the disk 'C:/leiansoft/Windows Vista. vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

Reason: failed to lock the file.

Solution:

1. delete or migrate all. LCK files and folders under the Virtual Machine path of VMware to other directories, which can be solved in general.

2. If you fail to start VMware Windows Vista again, right-click the system with a VM error and choose Settings> hardware> hard disk> utilities> map to Z :/

3. Disconnect, reload, and start the virtual hard disk. The system can be started normally.
