At the end of last September, the company became the first software company in the world to be evaluated at the same time through the CMM5 and CMMI5 levels, in addition to being the first software company to pass the CMMI5 level in mainland China. At that time, this is a company all staff, especially our quality personnel feel gratified and encouraged by things. But in addition to the excitement, how can the department's future work be better carried out? Is facing a very realistic problem, need everyone to think calmly. At the same time, as a pioneer and advocate of the implementation of CMMI5 in Chinese national Software enterprises, the functional change after the evaluation of the quality department may be a topic of concern to the industry colleagues. To this end, the author of the current situation of the enterprise and the industry has focused on the quality of the Department of concern for the development of enterprises for future reference.
The adoption of the top evaluation does not mean that the work of the quality department is over. This is just a new milestone on the road to business development, not an end point, evaluation is not the ultimate goal, it is only a test of their ability to maturity of a means. Enterprises to survive, to develop, but also must continue to self-improvement, self-transcendence. As the core Department of promoting and implementing CMM management thought, although the quality department has brought immeasurable indirect benefit and profit for the development of Enterprise, the whole department should create direct profits if it wants to get a long and benign development. Because only development and profit is the hard truth! From the perspective of enterprise survival, no matter what way to reduce production costs, improve management level, improve product quality, improve customer satisfaction, and so on, all of the ultimate goal will be the same, that is "the pursuit of reasonable profit maximization", this is beyond doubt.
Therefore, after the top evaluation, we must change the concept, change the function, from the non-profit sector to become a profit sector, in addition to continuing to do the internal quality management work, we must further strengthen the strength, expand external business, use their own advantages to seek new profit growth point, in order to achieve continuous self-improvement. Of course, no matter to which aspect development, completes the enterprise internal quality management work is still the basic premise, this is a fundamental, cannot put the cart before the horse.
Specific development can refer to the following six kinds of directions:
• One of the development directions: Software Outsourcing
• Development direction of the second: project hosting
• Development direction of the third: consulting training
• Development direction of the four: project supervision
• Development direction of the five: professional testing
• Development direction of the six: tool sales
These six development direction's implementation effect will be how, now still is an unknown, need everybody through unceasingly groping, the practice examines and improves. Perhaps the road ahead is bumpy, the beginning is not so smooth, but we still believe that the path is tortuous, the future is bright. If we succeed, we can share the experience of success, and if we fail, we will carefully analyze the reasons, learn from the lessons learned, and if all efforts are still proven blocked, then we will also remind the future generations of these failures. Lest the latter repeat themselves. At the same time also hope that the Chinese software industry colleagues can provide a benign and healthy environment, success, not too sought after, blindly follow suit, failed also do not stand on one side, sarcastic sarcasm, I hope that we try to hold a peaceful and tolerant attitude to treat. Only in this way, can create a good atmosphere, so that everyone can be successful experience or the lessons of failure to share with you, learn from each other, and jointly make China's software industry bigger and stronger.
