This article divides the users of Twitter into two categories--ordinary users and elite users, and elite users are divided into four categories: media, celebrities (celebrities), bloggers (bloggers) and organizations (Formalorganizations).

What to whom?

This article has focused on the different types of users of the attention level, information flow, different topics of attention, life and the different types of users of the way of survival.

The study found that: (a) 20,000 elite users attracted about 50% of the attention;

(b) The media has created most of the information;

(c) Elite users tend to focus on the same type of users;

(d) Two-stepflow is an important form of information dissemination in Twitter;

(e) Different types of users focus on different types of tweets, and different types of tweets have different lifetimes.

The contribution of the thesis is mainly in three aspects:

1) Introduce a method to distinguish elite users and ordinary users, and use this method to divide elite users into four types of media, celebrities (celebrities), bloggers (bloggers) and organizations (Formalorganizations);

2) by investigating the flow of information between different types, it is found that although the user's focus is mainly on a few elite users, many of the information is indirectly communicated to the users through a large number of intermediary users;

3) Different types of topics to focus on different types of topics have different life expectancy (span from less than 1 days to several months).
