Why can't the development speed of software keep pace with the development of hardware?

As the saying goes, "soft and hard does not separate", the smooth operation of the software requires good hardware platform support, and the performance of the hardware needs good software to reflect. Software is often used as a platform to design hardware, hardware, every development and upgrade is the platform jump-type. After the hardware platform is upgraded, it is common for the software to be unable to adapt to the new platform. In the process of adapting the software to the current hardware platform, the hardware developers are starting to develop new hardware platform. But the design of the software is far more than the hardware, but can only be reduced by the operational capacity of the existing hardware limit. The software performance is designed to be compatible with the development of mainstream consumer hardware, which can only degrade software performance, simply from software performance (function breadth, intelligent automation capability, interface aesthetics, and processing of computing required by users). And if software development goes beyond the hardware, it cannot be perceived at all because there is no hardware to load.
