After installing DCP: Power Manager-Dell ControlPoint System Manager A05, you can choose "disable battery charging" on the Power Manager page of DCP to effectively prevent battery overcharging.

Note:

If Fn + F2 is used, or the battery is disabled in the BIOS, if the system is turned off and the external power is not removed, this setting will remain in the disabled charging status set before the last shutdown. However, if the external power is turned off, the system will return to the automatic charging status when the external power is connected again next time. To disable charging, you still need to manually press Fn + F2 to change the charging status.
