Failure phenomenon:
Hyperlinks in Outlook or Word become code.
Solution:
For Outlook (for example, Outlook 2010)
Create a new message. Then, in the new message, click File-Options.

Open the Mailings tab, and in the Mail Compose section, click the Editor Options button.

In the Editor Options window, click Advanced, and then uncheck the Show field codes instead of field values from the right detail window.

Click File-Options. (Word 2007, click the Office Button to find Word options)
