Just like our name, there is a reason for what name, then Microsoft for Win7 's name is there any reason? Here is a small series to tell you why!
1
How many Windows systems has Microsoft launched?
Early in the morning there were Windows 1 2 3. These three versions of the system I don't know, it doesn't make any impression at all. I didn't hear it until Windows 95, and the next Windows XP and Windows 2000 people should all know it, so the next windows7 why is called the 7th version.

Win7 Why Microsoft launched the 7th version of the Windows system
Windows 1 2 3 and Windows NT 4.0 are the first 4 systems introduced by Microsoft, while Windows XP is the 5th system and Windows 2000 is not developed for users. Windows 98 doesn't count for anything. Windows Vista is the 6th system. So Win7 is named because it is the 7th system developed by Microsoft.

Maik Nash (Mike Nash) wrote on the official Windows blog that the decision to use the Windows7 name was simple, and if a new "aspiring name" like XP or Vista did not properly describe the goal we were going to achieve, we were still sticking to Vista's ambitions, Just convert the investment in Vista platform into the next generation system.

John Long, retail strategist at Kurt Salmon Associates, a consultancy, points out that it is difficult to put forward a word like vista that can be well expressed in all languages, a world-class product that should be focused on. He says the regression figures are logical, even if Microsoft cannot decide what to add to Windows, but is at least loyal to the Windows brand.
The above is about why Microsoft called Windows 7 System as Windows 7? The convenience of naming is related to the difficulty of finding both representative and well remembered names. And Win7 Win8 is also very good to remember.
