Why is only one class allowed to inherit in Java?

A class can inherit only one other class that prohibits multiple inheritance in the Java language: A class may have multiple direct parent classes. The reason why multiple inheritance is not valid is that it is easy to trigger meaning ambiguity. For example, there is a class C, if it is allowed to inherit both Class A and Class B (class C extends a,b{}), if a, B two classes have the same method fun (), if the definition: c c = new C (); then C.fun () should call the fun () method of the parent class? Cannot give an answer, so the Java language prohibits multiple inheritance. But C + + is possible, so C + + is more difficult to syntax than Java.
