To improve on the next version of Windows, Microsoft recently released the Windows 10 Technology Preview test project, allowing users to try out their new systems ahead of time and provide feedback. So what are the features that users would most like Windows 10 to join? The following is a summary of the verge on the Microsoft UserVoice feedback platform.
1. File Browser add tag
Adding a label interface to a file browser allows Windows 10 users to switch between different labels without having to open multiple folders, which makes the desktop look neater. Some Third-party solutions now offer similar functionality, including browsing through two tabbed folders side-by-side in a single window.
2. Let Windows Update become a driven one-stop solution
This is also a simple requirement. Microsoft has added a lot of OEM drivers to its Windows Update, but you often need to upgrade the drivers from the relevant pages. For the user, this is obviously very inconvenient. Many PC vendors now offer their own individual upgrade tools, and Microsoft should simplify these cumbersome upgrades to make Windows Update a one-stop solution for all PC-driven solutions.
3. Add Persian Calendar
Although some people may not know what is the Persian calendar, but it is clear that many users want this feature. On UserVoice, 983 users voted to have Windows 10 join the feature.
4. Bring back Aero Glass
With Apple Yosemite the OS X, some Windows users want to get aero glass back. Microsoft added the feature to Windows Vista for the first time, but stripped out most of the window's transparency in Windows 8. According to user feedback, millions of PC users have machine configurations that are sufficient to handle aero Glass. Microsoft has added some shadow effects to the Windows 10 Technology Preview, so there are indications that the Windows UI may have changed significantly before it was officially released.
5. Redesign and replace all windows icons
Many years ago, Windows users had wanted Microsoft to redesign its old icons. Although several recent versions of Windows have been upgraded in this area, there are still many icons that haven't changed in more than 20 years.
6. Better Notepad application
The basic Notepad. exe application in Windows hasn't changed in many years. The Notepad is as simple as usual, compared to the paint that has been added to the Ribbon and interface adjustments. While WordPad is an alternative, some users still think the default Notepad application should be better. At present, it does not support the end of the Unix line, double-click the choice of words incoherent, undo function also some problems. Microsoft does need to upgrade its Notepad in contrast to the good third-party note apps.
7. Free to All
Free is always good, some Windows users do not want to pay for the next version of Windows. The problem is that Windows is still giving Microsoft a huge benefit, though they have removed the licensing costs for small flat panels, but the strategy may not be expanded for a short time. But Microsoft does have the potential to make Windows 10 free for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users, which should be effective at avoiding Windows 70% for the next Windows XP.
8. Let everything be fixed on the start screen
The Windows 8 Start screen can be used to secure metro apps, traditional desktop applications, and Internet Explorer bookmarks. But if you want to fix a file, you can't do it now. If the user can fix anything on the start screen, the interface will certainly become more practical.
9. Specify the audio output for the program
In Windows Vista, Microsoft has optimized audio management to allow users to control the volume of each application individually. But the user is not satisfied with this, some people also want to be able to for different applications to specify the audio output mode. For example, by setting, the system's Beep can be aired through the speakers, while the music can be played on the headset at the same time. While this may not be a broad application, in some environments, especially in the office, you may want to have audio to alert team members, while allowing your favorite music to be limited to headphones.
10. Integrated PC setup and Control Panel
This is what Windows 8 users have always wanted Microsoft to do, but even in the Windows 10 Preview, PC settings and traditional control panels still exist in different areas. Over the years, Microsoft has been trying to slim down the control Panel with a simple UI, but there are still some setup options that don't exist in the new PC settings application. The separation of two settings interfaces is clearly confusing to users, which Microsoft needs to address in Windows 10.
