Perform a view of the user's disk quota information management tasks can also have "Windows interface" and "command line" two ways, described below.

(1) Windows interface mode

in the Windows interface mode, you only need to view it in the Quota Entries window shown in 3. In this window, each row contains information about the volume user.

(2) command line mode

the command-line way to view the user's disk quota information is to type: fsutil quota query [volumepathname] command at the command prompt. The [volumepathname] parameter is a disk volume letter, such as C:.

Adding disk quotas for new users also has both the Windows interface and the command line, as described below.

(1) Windows interface mode

1th Step, in the Quota Entries window, perform the quota 〗→〖 new Quota Entry menu action, which opens the dialog box as shown.

2nd step, enter the domain or workgroup name in the Enter the object name to select text box followed by the backslash and the user name of the user to enforce the quota. You can also enter only the first few letters of the user name, and then, by clicking the Check Names button, in the Pop-up dialog box, include all user names that include the characters entered (if only one user name matches, there will be no dialog pop-up, directly display the required user in the text box), select the user you want to enter, so faster Save most of the user string input, but also more accurate, generally do not lose the wrong. When you are done, click the OK button and the dialog box appears as shown.

If you select Do not restrict disk usage, the system tracks the use of disk space, but does not limit the user's disk space usage.
3rd step, in the Add New Quota Entry dialog box, specify one of the following options, and then click OK to finish. The newly added user disk quota is also shown in the Quota Entries window.

If you select the Limit disk space to single option, this activates fields for disk space limits and warning levels. Type a numeric value in the Text field, and then select the disk space limit unit from the drop-down list. You can use a decimal value (for example, 20.5MB).

(2) command line mode

command line mode creating a new user disk quota is also simple, just type the following command in the command line state:
fsutil quota Modify [volumepathname] [threshold] [limit] [domain\username]
The command parameter description is shown in the following table.

1th, in the Quota Entries window, click to select the user quota record you want to export (by holding down the "Ctrl" or "Shift" key for multiple selections or even selecting All), perform the quota 〗→〖 export menu operation to export the user's quota settings to a file.
Sometimes the server on a volume of disk capacity is limited, want to put the user's occupied disk space on a different disk volume, then if the number of users, each created, the workload is quite large. We can then copy the quota information from a volume that has been created with a user's disk quota to another volume, so that other volumes do not have to create disk quotas for the user one after the other, simply adjust the quotas for a small number of users based on actual needs. This is the export and import of the quota settings. Here's how:

2nd step, then perform the reverse process of the previous step, import the original exported quota settings to another volume, simply perform the Quota 〗→〖 Import menu action in the corresponding disk volume Quota Entry window and select the quota settings file to import in the Import window to import the user's quota settings onto another disk volume.

For items that are already on the target volume, the settings that are transferred are the values of the user's disk space limit and the quota warning level. If the project does not exist, a new project is created. Disk quota settings are saved in a file format that is unique to the disk quota tool and is only used to import and export quota settings between different volumes. The Export Quota Settings dialog box does not display the extension for the settings file, even if the folder that contains the settings file displays the extensions for all files.
