Win7 cannot add files to the Windows Media Player Media Library?

Stop all Windows Media Player-related services.

Turn off Windows Media Player. Type "Services.msc" in the Start Search box and enter.

If you eject the User Account Control window, allow it to continue.

Locate the services that start with Windows Media Player and, if the status is started, right-click to select Stop.

2. Rename the Windows Media folder

Enter the path%userprofile%local settingsapplication datamicrosoft in the Address bar, enter, and open. Locate and right-click the folder, Windows Media, and choose Rename. You can name this folder arbitrarily, such as Windows Media old.

When you turn on Windows Media Player again, the system automatically rebuilds a Windows Media folder, as shown in the following illustration.
