Sometimes when we plug the USB hard drive or U disk into the computer, we will encounter the "Unrecognized USB device" problem, repeated retries will not help, but the same USB device in other computers can be displayed normally. If you encounter this problem, you can refer to the following three ways to resolve this.
Method 1: Uninstall the drive and reconnect the external hard drive
Open Control Panel (Small icon view)-Device Manager, locate your device in the disk drive list, and right-click Uninstall.
Unplug the USB cable and reconnect it, at which time the driver will automatically load and normally return to normal.
Method 2: Reinstall the USB controller.
Open Control Panel (Small icon view)-Device Manager, expand the universal Serial Bus controller, right-click the device and choose Uninstall, repeat for each device. When you are done, restart your computer and the USB controller will be installed automatically.
Method 3: Disable USB selective pause settings.
Control Panel-Power Options, click the Change plan settings next to the currently selected power plan.
Click to change advanced power settings.
Expand USB Settings-usb Selective pause settings, set to Disabled, OK.
