The company uses the old computer (192.168.1.2) to connect the printer (HP LaserJet 3015 pcl5e) to the network for use as a print server. Due to the large number of clients upgraded to Win7 64-bit operating systems, client printer-driven loading cannot be implemented in printers on the print server by using the "other drivers" in the "Sharing" tab of printer properties, With 192.168.1.2hp3015, you cannot find a printer driver and cannot print with a shared printer. This article mainly installs the local printer driver (still the model of the server printer) on the client side, and uses the local port port in the native printer to connect with the service-side printer.
1, find the printer driver.
Because it is HP's older printer (2004), we search for the driver via HP's China website.
2, download the printer driver.
I download to the local D drive, you can choose the corresponding download path according to the actual situation.
3, install the printer driver.
HP downloaded a self-extracting compression package program, double-click to unzip. Specify a good decompression path, point unzip can be extracted, decompression completed, will automatically run Install.exe program for driver installation.
Select USB mode.
4. Set printer Port properties.
Open the Win7 Printer Management window, right click on the installed printer, select "Printer Properties"-"Port", add "Local port" port, address is 192.168.1.2hp3015 (please set according to your shared print server actual IP and shared printer name). Here the print server IP is 192.168.1.2, the shared printer name is hp3015)
Precautions:
1, ensure that the service-side printer is working properly, can print out the test page on the service side.
2, the server printer is normal, the steps are set to complete, you can print the test page on the client printer test, test success.
3, the server IP, you should ensure that you can ping through
