Now buy new computer will be pre-installed Win7 system, often hard disk only C disk a partition, so it is too inconvenient to use, need to repartition the hard disk to do. When it comes to partitioning, many users may think first of the zoning software such as PQ, in fact, in the Win7, do not need to use any Third-party software, and do not need to enter the command prompt to tap various commands, in the Windows interface can be used with the system's own tools to partition. Click the Start button, right-click the Computer option on the Start menu, and choose Manage from the pop-up menu.
Open the Computer Management menu
If the current user is using a standard account, the user is required to enter the administrator account credentials.
In the Computer Management window that pops up, expand the save item in the left navigation bar, and click the Disk Management option to load the Disk Management tool in the right-hand pane.
Hard Drive Management
Click unallocated space in Disk 0 (if the second hard drive is disk 1, and so on), and right-click the new simple volume, and the New Simple Volume wizard dialog box appears as shown in the following illustration.
New Simple Volume Wizard
In the new Simple Volume Wizard welcome interface Click Next to display a page that sets the size of the partition, as shown in the following illustration.
Set Partition size
Windows allows users to create partitions with a minimum space of 8MB and no upper space (if sufficient space is available), where the unit is megabytes (MB), and the user can allocate it based on the allocated space and individual needs of the disk.
After you set the partition size, click Next to display the assigned drive letter and Path page, and the user needs to set a letter or path.
Assigning drive letters
After you have set the partitioning method, click Next to display the formatted page for the partition, so that you have to format the partition so that you can make the formatting simple.
Formatting settings
When you set the formatting options and click Next, the Finish page of the New Simple Volume wizard appears. The settings for creating partitions selected by the user are shown here.
Completing partition creation
If the settings are incorrect, click the Back button to return to the appropriate steps to reset it.
After the confirmation is correct, the system creates partitions for the physical disk by clicking the Finish button. When the partition is created, the system automatically connects to the new partition, and it is possible to display a dialog box that the user can choose from or close the dialog box as needed.
New Disk Partitions detected
In some cases it may be necessary to adjust the total capacity of the C disk, for example in a newly purchased notebook with a Windows 7 operating system installed. If you have only one C-disk partition, and the partition is large, causing additional unallocated disk space to be reduced, you can resolve the problem by using the "compress" feature in the Disk Management tool.
Select the C-disk partition in the disk-managed interface and right-click to select the Compress volume option.
Compressed volume
The disk utility automatically checks that the selected partition is available for compressed space, the time spent with the computer's hardware performance, and disk space.
Query compressible Space
The Compress dialog box appears after the check is complete, showing the total size of the current partition, the amount of space available for compression, and the total size of the space to compress and after compression.
Input compressed space amount
By default, the Disk Management tool automatically fills in the input compressed space input box to fill in the maximum amount of space available for compression and can change it yourself. When you determine the amount of space to compress, and then click the Compress button, the Disk Management tool compresses the partition, waiting for a moment to see the compressed partition and the unallocated space freed by the compressed partition, equal to the amount of compressed space that was set when the compression was compressed.
