To create a System restore point
First find "Computer" in the Start menu, Win7 users need to be found in the Start menu, the sidebar on the right. Then right click Computer and select Properties. Find the third option in the left column of the Computer Properties dialog box "System Protection" click Open.
Under the System Properties window select the System Protection tab, under the Protection settings to select the drive you want to create a restore point, after the selected drive, see the corresponding protection status of the drive, if the shutdown status, you need to click the Configuration button to open.

Select either "Restore system settings and previous version files" or "restore previous versions of files" as needed, and then select the appropriate amount of disk space to use for backup files. Finally click Apply OK to complete the settings, drive protection status can be opened.
Finally, we also need to create a restore point for the drive, click Create under the System Properties tab, type the restore point name in the Pop-up System Protection dialog box, and then click Create so that the restore point is created successfully.
Recover deleted files
The first thing to declare is that we are talking about using System Restore points to restore files and programs, are already created to restore points, if there is no restore settings, want to retrieve the missing files, I am afraid it is not a system restore can do. Take pictures folder as an example, the author deleted a few folders in the picture and empty the Recycle Bin, let us see the use of System Restore, whether you can find back.
1. Right-click on the Picture folder, clicking Properties in the menu, open the Picture Properties dialog box.

2. Locate the previous Version tab in the Properties dialog box, select a restore point under the Folder version toolbar under the tab, click the Restore option, and then click Restore in the Restore Point checkbox, and then follow the prompts and click OK to recover.

Of course, we can also choose to restore a restore point under a certain file, only if we select the restore point in the last step, click on the Open option, so that we can browse the restore point of the contents of the file, select the file you want to copy down to complete the selective recovery operation.
OK, recovered, restore deleted files is so simple. Again, creating a System restore point is equivalent to copying a file on your computer for a while, but it's not a panacea, which requires a good operating habit and often creates restore points for your computer. Given the importance of data for everyone, here I strongly recommend that you create a restore point for your computer as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary losses.
