1. Click "Start" → enter "cmd" in the Start Menu bar search box, find "cmd.exe" in the returned results, right-click the shortcut, select "Attach to Start Menu" in the pop-up menu, as shown in Figure 1:

2. Re-click Start, and in the Start menu, locate and select Windows command handler, press the right mouse button, and select Properties in the right-click menu bar, as shown in Figure 2:

3. In the Windows Command Handler Properties window, switch to the Shortcuts tab and click Advanced, as shown in Figure 3:

4. In the Advanced Properties window, click "Run as Administrator (R)" and tap OK, as shown in Figure 4:

This allows you to run the command prompt directly as an administrator when you double-click the shortcut using the left mouse button.
