An error occurred while installing the Oracle 10g database, previously installed on the Windows7, and now share the solutions and reasons for the problem.

Installation behavior:

1. Install the default path that is different from before.

Formerly: d:oracleproduct10.2.0 or f:oracleproduct10.2.0

Now: c:userscynthiaoracleproduct10.2.0

2. After entering the password next time, install oracle10g "program abnormally terminated." An internal error has occurred.

Preliminary analysis of the reason: The system was previously Windows XP SP3 now directly in XP will windows7 image files ISO decompression installation Windows7, installed from the hard drive.

Workaround: Run this program in compatibility mode with the Setup.exe file attribute in the Oracle 10g installation file--compatibility--Compatibility mode (Windows XP Service Pack3)
