Win7 Quick Enable (disable) method of searching for traces
First in the System "Start" menu, click the "Run" command, switch to the System Run dialog box, enter the "gpedit.msc" command, click the "OK" button, pop-up System Group Policy console window.
In the list on the left side of the console window, jump to local Computer policy, user Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows components, Windows Explorer node, and find the "Turn off recent search entry display in the Windows Explorer search box" under that node Options.
Next, double-click the "Turn off recent search entry display" option in the Windows Explorer search box. Expand the Options Settings dialog shown in the figure, check that the Enabled option is selected, and once you see that it is not selected, you should select it again, and then click OK to exit the Setup dialog box.
