Have you ever encountered this situation, delete desktop files have no effect, the key to the right to refresh the deleted files will disappear on the desktop! There are two ways to solve this problem:

The first of these methods

Click "Start → run" and enter "regedit" in the dialog box to start the Registry Editor and expand the Hkey_local_machinesystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrolupdate branch. Find a DWORD value named "UpdateMode" on the right, and double-click "UpdateMode" in the window to change its value to "0".

If not, you can create a new update item under control, and the right side also creates a new UpdateMode DWORD 32-bit value and changes its value to 0.

Where the UpdateMode value is used to set whether the window is automatically refreshed, 1 for manual refresh and 0 for automatic refresh.

The second method

The simpler way is to paste the following text with the name Updatemode.reg, and then double-click to execute the import registry.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

"UpdateMode" =dword:00000000

Do not forget to log out or restart before it takes effect! This method is available for 64 or 32-bit Windows7 operating systems.
