First after installing the virtual, to see the native network connection as shown in Figure 1:

Typically, there are two more virtual network adapters. Where VMnet8 is a virtual NIC created for NAT mode. If you are unsure whether VMnet8 can also be viewed in VMware, view the methods:

In the VMware menu bar: Edit the-> virtual Network editor. Will find open a window as shown in Figure 2:

In this window you can see which virtual network card is used in NAT mode.

It is important to take a look at the DNS of this computer next, which is useful when configuring DNS for virtual NIC VMnet8.

View methods. cmd---ipconfig/all. Widnows7 after the command is executed, the following information is queried:

Can know dns:10.120.121.23

Now configure: Virtual NIC VMnet8

Right-click the VMnet8 virtual NIC, and the properties->ipv4 configured as shown in Figure 3:

Where DNS must be the same as local-connected DNS. IP address can be set to the common IP, the IP address set here is: 192.168.135.1 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0.

Step configuration Virtual Machine Virtual Network editor NAT mode configuration:

First Open Figure 2 and configure the subnet IP and subnet mask below. Of course, this does not open DHCP, because do not want to restart the virtual machine, change IP. Therefore, the use of the local DHCP service to assign IP addresses to virtual machines is not checked.

Then, click on the NAT settings on the right below as shown in Figure 5:

This step is configured to configure the CentOS system within VMware.

Open the network configuration interface, of course, you can also use the command to configure and edit network files/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/You use the network name corresponding file.

Use the interface mode configuration, as shown in Figure 6:

My CentOS system uses the connection name auto eth1 to edit this network connection.

The next step is important.

Use the service network restart to restart the Network service and use it to take effect, which, of course, requires root permissions.

Set up local connections to be shared. After setting. Find Firefox on the CentOS, you can surf the Internet.
