1. Click the "Start" or "win+r" key combination and enter gpedit.msc--to open the local Group Policy.

2. To the left of the local Group Policy, expand the Computer Configuration-Administrative Templates-Windows components in turn. Scroll the mouse over to Windows Update.

3. Double-click the "for logged on user, scheduled Automatic Updates installation does not perform reboot" option, set in the Properties window, default to "Not Configured", and select "Started" below. Click OK to exit the Local Group Policy Editor. When Windows installs updates again, the restart prompts do not appear again.
