I. Possible reasons why IE9 cannot be unloaded
This problem can occur because of other software interference during installation, resulting in incorrect writing of uninstall information, or the use of a third-party cleanup tool to clean up the system after the installation of IE9, causing the relevant information to be purged. Since the problem cannot be reproduced in a normal computer, it is not yet possible to identify the real cause of the problem. In this case, we can use the command-line method to try to unload the IE9.
Second, use the command line to uninstall IE9
1, click "Start-" All Programs-"attachment", right click on "command line Prompt", select "Run as Administrator".
2, if pop-up User Account Control window, please allow to continue.
3. Copy the following command
forfiles/p%windir%\servicing\packages/m microsoft-windows-internetexplorer-*9.*.mum/c "cmd/c Echo Uninstalling Package @fname && start/w pkgmgr/up: @fname/norestart "
4, after copying, right click on the "Command Prompt" window, select "Paste". Then, press ENTER to run this command.
5, if the operation of the process may appear 0x80040005 or 0x80070005 error, we can click "OK" and ignore it.
6, after the completion of the operation of the command (as shown)
7, restart the computer. Open IE to see if IE9 uninstalled successfully and restored to the original IE version.
8. If you still cannot uninstall, try using System Restore to try to resolve the problem by restoring the system to a point in time before installing IE9.
