First make sure that your headset is not bad, plug the headset into other audio sources to hear the sound (the headset must match the sound source Jack) to determine the headset is not broken and then open the computer's control Panel.

Go to "hardware and sound"

Find the "Realtek High Definition Audio Manager"

Locate the Jack settings, as shown in the following figure.

OK before the "Disable front panel jack detection" is ticked.

When you're done, you can plug in your headphones and listen to music.
