Step 2. Set up a home network

Step 1. Basic sharing settings

For example, we will share the share folder in the E-packing directory of a computer. Right-click the share folder in the E-packing directory and select properties → sharing. Then in the Open dialog box, click Sharing, select the user name everyone in the pop-up dialog box, and then click Add to have it appear in the list box below. Next, under Permission level, set permissions for it, such as read/write or read (as shown in Figure 1).

Step 2. Different rights assignments

Basic sharing settings may not meet the needs of more users, so how do you set up different share permissions for different users? Here we will use a folder named "Engineering Picture" to be shared in different names ("Engineering picture DX" and "Engineering picture ZD") For example: If the login account is DX , then has read and write permission, if the login account is ZD, then only reads the permission.

First, right-click Computer on the desktop, select Manage, expand Local Users and Groups → users on the left side of the pop-up Admin window, click action → new user, enter "DX" after "User name" and set the password. Then uncheck the "User must change password at next logon" option, and choose "Password never expires." Finally, you can generate a standard user Level system account by clicking Create. Similarly, create a similar system account named "ZD".

Then the two accounts are set up separately. Select Advanced share → share this folder in the Sharing option of the folder. Under Share name, enter a name (such as "Project Picture DX"), and then click "permissions → add → advanced → find Now" to find the account "DX" you just created and click to add it. Finally check full control under Allow (as shown in Figure 2). In addition, to be able to observe a user named everyone with Full control, delete it. When the settings are complete, you will have read and write permissions when you log on to the DX account and access the folder. Similarly, if you set the ZD user's permission to read, you will only have read access when you log on to the folder with the ZD account.

Next, you need to complete the assignment of user rights. Click start → control Panel → administrative tools → local security policy, in the Open dialog box, expand the left "security settings → local policy → user Rights Assignment", and on the right, find "Access this computer from the network" and double-click. Next, click Add Users and groups to add DX and ZD. then expand security settings → local policies → security options to find the right network access: Sharing and security mode for local accounts, double-click and select Classic – Local users authenticate as themselves. At this point, the sharing settings are complete.

Like normal file sharing, media files can also be shared, but there is a more secure form of media sharing in Win 7-sharing media files as playlists. In this way, a visiting computer is not the access to the media file itself, so there is no need to worry about corrupted files or malicious copies, while the shared content can be controlled by a hierarchy that is ideal for home users.

Step 1. Media sharing settings

Double-click Network on the desktop, select Network and Sharing Center from the open window, click Choose HomeGroup and share options → change advanced sharing settings, and then expand Home and work, locate the media stream under it, and click. After show device locations, select all networks, and then click Allow All.
