Win7 and XP before the share, generally is Win7 can open XP, but XP cannot open Win7.

Sharing takes only two steps. Open shared and Shared folders

The first step is to turn on sharing:

Read Only mode is that someone can see your files but can't modify or delete your files.
Full control is someone who can open your files and delete your files.

Note: If your system is win7, the default disk properties do not everyoue the user's permissions. Others are still unable to access your computer, you can click the following to everyone can add permissions.
Two-Step solution:
First step: Click Set folder Permissions.
The second step is to select the disk and authorize it.
Select the folder you have shared: I just shared the E-disk. So I chose E plate.
The disk that is set up for this feature may cause the Recycle Bin files to be lost. Please make sure there are no useful files in your Recycle Bin.
Click OK to add complete permissions. Now the other person will be able to open your file.
