WIN8 Create a VHD virtual disk

Win8 VHD Virtual Disk feature do not know you have experienced, the VHD is a function from the beginning of Win7, you can divide a certain space in C disk out, and then use this space virtual a hard disk, generally used to install more than one operating system. WIN8 also adds support for virtual disks, which allows you to directly open the VHD, ISO, and other files to make it easier for users to use them. Here's a tutorial on creating a VHD virtual Disk Win8.

Operation method

Under the traditional desktop, move the mouse pointer to the lower left corner, click the right mouse button (or use the Win+x shortcut key), select "Disk Management" in the open menu;

In the Disk Management window, click "Action"---"Create VHD";

In the newly opened create and attach virtual hard disk window, select Browse First.

First, specify where to save a virtual disk file. can refer to the following figure, select good save location, please name the virtual disk file, set good click "Save";

When you specify a good location for the VHD, we will set the size, refer to the following figure to set, when set, click OK.

Note: "Virtual hard disk format" and "Virtual hard disk type" can be set according to the actual situation, but the default setting is preferred.

When the virtual disk is created, we need to initialize it, as shown below, click the right mouse button on disk 1 and select Initialize disk.

Select to open the initialization of the disk window, the disk partition form MBR and GPT please choose according to the actual situation, select good after click "OK";

When the disk is initialized, we can partition it like a normal hard disk and then use it.
