Can I see the files and folders that other people share with me?
If someone accesses skydrive.com and shares a file or folder by sending you an e-mail containing a link, you can view the file or folder in the SkyDrive application. Tap or click the arrow at the top of the screen and choose Share. After the project is shared, it may take several minutes for them to appear in the application.
How do I see the Office files I recently opened?
Click or click the arrow at the top of the screen, and then select recently used documents.
How do I upload and download files?
To upload files from your computer to SkyDrive, open the location where you want to upload them, open the Apply command, and then click or click Upload. Browse to the file you want to upload, click or click the file to select it, and then click or click Add To. SkyDrive
To download the files on the SkyDrive to your computer, swipe down the files or right-click them, and then click or click "Download".
How do I open or save a file on a SkyDrive from another application?
In other applications, choose to open or save the command. Tap or click the arrow next to File, and then select SkyDrive in the list. Open and save files on SkyDrive from other applications.
How do I share files and folders on SkyDrive with other applications?
By using the "Share" super button, you can perform a variety of actions, such as sending an e-mail message that contains a link to a photo on SkyDrive.
1. In the SkyDrive application, swipe down or right-click on the file or folder you want to share.
2. Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle and click "Share". (If you use the mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, and then click Share.)
3. Click or click the application you want to use for sharing. For example, click or click Mail to send a link to the file or folder by e-mail.
You can also share files from other applications (such as "photos") with SkyDrive in order to upload these files to SkyDrive.
How do I search for files on SkyDrive?
You can search for files on SkyDrive in the same way that you search for items in other applications. Perform the following steps from any location in Windows:
1. Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle and click "Search". (If you use the mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, and then click Search.)
2. In the application list, click or click "SkyDrive".
Do you need a desktop version of the SkyDrive application?
If you want to save copies of all your SkyDrive files and folders to your computer and synchronize them with skydrive.com and other computers, you will need to install SkyDrive desktop applications that are applicable to Windows. Can I use the SkyDrive application when I can't log on to my computer with a Microsoft account?
OK. If you are using a local account to log on to the computer, simply log on to the SkyDrive when you open the application.
