Step One: Turn off system Automatic Updates
1, right click on the desktop computer, select Properties.
2, click the "Windows Update" link in the lower-left corner.
3, and then click the Change Settings link on the left side of the Windows Update window.
4, select "Never check update (not recommended)" Under the dropdown menu.
5, then cancel the following two check boxes, in the pop-up dialog box click the "OK" button.
6, finally click the "OK" button to save the settings to turn off the system automatically updated.
7, then return to the "Windows Update" window, see the prompts to deal with the latest state.
Step Two: Disable the update service
1. Next, we also need to disable the System Update Service to save resources.
2, and then right click on the "Computer" icon, from the pop-up shortcut menu to select "Management" command.
3. Select the Services item under Services and applications and open the Windows update update on the right.
4. Double-click the Windows update update and choose Disable from the Startup type.
5, and then click the "Stop" button to stop the update service.
6, finally click the "OK" button to ensure that the settings and exit can be.
7. Return to the list of services you can see that the Windows Update update service has been disabled and stopped.
