Failure phenomenon:

After you upgrade Win8.1, go to the desktop, the lower-right corner of the desktop will show "Secureboot not configured properly."

Solution:

Two modes of BIOS processing:

1. IdeaPad USY, Erazer ZN, Yoga, Flex series model BIOS refer to the following settings:


When secure boot is set to Enabled, secure boot status is still turned off, as shown in the following illustration:

Please perform the following steps:

Step 1: When the machine restarts to "Lenovo Screen", the "F2" key or "FN+F2" key to enter the BIOS. Select the security option, select Reset to Setup mode and hit enter, select Yes and press the "enter" key;

Step 2: Select the Restore Factory keys and hit Enter, select Yes and press the "enter" key;

Step 3: Reset BIOS defaults by F9 or fn+f9;

Step 4: Press F10 or FN+F10 to save the exit, and constantly tap the "F2" key or "FN+F2" key to enter the BIOS. Check secure Boot status, this time should have become enabled, save exit;

Step 5: When you enter the system, you will find that the "Secureboot incorrectly configured" message displayed in the lower-right corner of the desktop disappears.

Note: Yang Tian Vbkem series models if you encounter such problems, the BIOS setup method is the same as the above scenario, except that the BIOS interface is slightly different, as follows:

Select Secure Boot and enter the following interface:

2. IdeaPad G Series models (such as G480) BIOS refer to the following settings:

Secure Boot status is off and cannot be changed under the Security menu item. The following figure:

Please perform the following steps

Step 1: When the machine restarts to "Lenovo Screen", the "F2" key or "FN+F2" key to enter the BIOS. Select the Boot menu item and select the Boot mode option as UEFI mode;

Step 2: Select the Exit menu item and select the OS optimized defaults option as WIN8 64bit mode;

Step 3: Press F10 or FN+F10 to save the exit, and constantly tap the "F2" key or "FN+F2" key into the BIOS;

Step 4: At this point check the Security menu item under Secure Boot status is open;

Step 5: When you enter the system, you will find that the "Secureboot incorrectly configured" message displayed in the lower-right corner of the desktop disappears.
