Original Win8.1 update How to disable the OneDrive Sync service
Last week, it house shared the Win8.1 update how to improve the OneDrive upload speed tutorial for enthusiasts. However, due to the special network environment in the country, the Microsoft OneDrive (original SkyDrive) cloud service network experience is very poor, many Win8.1 users want to disable this synchronization function, how to disable it?
At this point, we can disable the OneDrive Sync service by two ways, from OneDrive System Setup to Group Policy.
First, the OneDrive system Setup Chapter
First, use your Microsoft account to log in to your current Win8.1 or Win8.1 update system platform. In the case of the Win8.1 platform, users need to open the SkyDrive app (the Win8.1 update platform has renamed OneDrive). At this point, Microsoft OneDrive has started automatically generating OneDrive folders locally to sync cloud data.

Then we open the System option under the OneDrive app (just point the mouse to the lower-right corner of the screen, bring up the Charm Super menu), and turn off the onedrive sync file feature.
At this point, the Microsoft OneDrive Network disk will pause the synchronization service. If the user wants to completely disable the system's built-in OneDrive disk service, then we need to use the Local Group Policy feature.
Second, local Group Policy chapter
The operation is as follows:
1. Use the combination key win+r, or right-click the Start button, open the Run dialog, enter gpedit.msc, open the local Group Policy Editor
2. Navigate to the Computer Configuration Administrative Templates Windows Components SkyDrive directory, Win8.1 Update platform: Navigate to the Computer Configuration Administrative Templates , and then click the OneDrive Directory of Windows components.
3. Double-click to disable the file Storage policy setting using OneDrive (Skydrive) , select enabled
4. After the selection is confirmed, it will take effect.
