Win864-bit connection to oracle Database Using plsqldeveloper
Problem: When plsql developer is used on a 64-bit win8 system to connect to a local oracle database, an inexplicable problem may occur. The error prompt box may even be blank.
Reason: according to the Internet, it is estimated that the 64-bit Oracle database is installed on the 64-bit system, but there is no corresponding 64-bit PL/SQL Developer for us to use, therefore, you cannot connect directly at this time. You need to install the oracle client.
Solution:
1. Download instantclient_11_2 (database version is 10g, 11g can be connected), address http://download.csdn.net/detail/zxnlmj/8063243
This file does not need to be configured in this case (to connect to remote oracle)
3. Configure environment variables (example) ORACLE_HOME = D: \ ProgramFile \ oracle \ product \ 10.2.0 \ db_1,
PATH = D: \ ProgramFile \ oracle \ product \ 10.2.0 \ db_1 \ bin,
NLS_LANG = simplified chinese. ZHS16GBK.
4. Modify plsql developer-cancel login-tools-preferences-ORACLE-connection
ORACLE_HOME = D: \ ProgramFile \ oracle \ product \ instantclient_11_2
OCI library = D: \ ProgramFile \ oracle \ product \ instantclient_11_2 \ oci. dll
Application, exit and log on again.
OK.
