Windchill methodserver is automatically disabled after startup

When you start the windchill methodserver, the window is automatically closed. Check the log and the errors in the window as follows:

 

Log Path D: \ PTC \ windchill_10.1 \ windchill \ logs \

Methodserver. Log: the following error message is displayed.

Java. Io. ioexception: COM. infoengine. Exception. Adapter. ieadapterexception; Nested exception:
Javax. Naming. communicationexception: windchilltest.com.cn: 389 [root exception is java.net. connectexception: Connection refused: connect]

 

Servermanager. Log prompts the following error

3-02-20 16:16:40, 332 error [methodservermonitor] wt. Manager. servermanagerimpl-start of methodserver timed out.
2013-02-20 16:16:40, 332 error [methodservermonitor] wt. server. Manager. startup-unable to launch 1 methodserver instance
Wt. util. wtremoteexception: the server cannot be obtained. The nested exception is:
(Wt. Manager. managerresource/3) wt. util. wtexception: Start methodserver timeout.

 

Solution

1. Determine whether port 389 is occupied. Netstat-nao

2. Determine whether the DS service is enabled. In the windchill_9.1/windchillds/Server/BAT directory, double-click the control-panel.bat to start, you can also register as a Windows service.
