The official version of the Windows 7 system has been around for some time, and the most powerful and stable Microsoft operating system has come to us. As the system becomes more functional and the configuration options in the corresponding Group Policy are becoming richer, we can intelligently set these options to improve the operational efficiency of Windows 7 systems!

1, let the media play more carefree

To make the user more fully entertained, the Windows Media Player application built into Windows 7 Systems has been upgraded to the latest version 9.0, and with this version of the player we can play a variety of online streaming content. Only by default, Windows 7 systems allow Windows Media Player applications to automatically enable system-specified screen savers while they are working, and if we are enjoying video information, the automatically enabled screensaver will not only affect our normal viewing, It will also slow down the speed of media playback, which will eventually result in a much lower efficiency of media playback. To make the media play smoother, we can set up Windows 7 System Group Policy by following these steps to prevent the system from automatically running the screen saver during Windows Media Player application work:

First, select All Programs/attachments/run commands from the Windows 7 System Start menu, pop up the corresponding system's Run text box, execute the gpedit.msc string command, and open the Windows 7 System's Group Policy console window;

Next, select the User Configuration node option at the left position of the window. and expand the Administrative Templates, Windows components, Windows Media Player, play subkeys, and then click the "Allow screen saver" Group Policy option under the Target subkey, from the node below. Double-click the option to open the Option Settings dialog box shown in Figure 1;

Then check to see if the disabled option is selected, which means that the Windows 7 system allows Windows Media player applications to automatically enable the system-specified screen saver during work. At this point we have to select this option in time, and then click OK to perform the save operation, so that the Windows 7 system will be able to play various forms of multimedia content smoothly in the future.

2, quickly cut off the remote connection

Sometimes the Windows 7 system is suddenly consumed by 100% of the CPU resources, often because illegal users at some point to the Windows 7 system and create a number of remote connections, these many connections will naturally rob the valuable resources of the system. In order for the Windows 7 system to function properly, we can quickly disconnect all remote connections to the Windows 7 system by following these steps:

First, execute the "gpedit.msc" string command in the search text box of the Windows 7 System Start menu. From the left position of the System Group Policy console window that pops up, select the User Configuration Branch option, and then expand the Administrative Templates/network/network connection one by one below the target branch "Subkey;

Then, right-click the "Remove all user remote access connections" Group Policy option on the right list area for the "Network Connections" subkey, click the Properties command on the shortcut menu to open the target Group Policy Properties window as shown in Figure 2, select the Enabled option in the window, and, by clicking OK button so that the Windows 7 system can later allow users to remove all user remote connections;

By then, once a remote connection is found to consume a large amount of Windows 7 system resources, we can open the Task Manager window for the corresponding system, go to the "Users" tab, select the remote connection for all users, right-click the remote connection, and then execute the Disconnect command in the right-click menu. In that case, the Windows 7 system's running state can be quickly restored to normal.
