Creating images is more flexible than ghost

Creating a system image in Win 7 has become very handy, and you can open the Create System mirroring window by simply "All programs → maintenance → backup and restore" in the Start menu, where you see "Create a System image" on the left. and the entire creation process, the user needs to do is based on the prompts to choose, and "next", it is not exaggerated to say, as long as the understanding of Chinese, you can create images.

In addition, when you specify where to store the backup files, you can choose to save the local hard drive, move the hard disk, or burn the DVD disc, as well as the option to store it in a network location, although adding only the network location settings gives us choices and solutions.

Windows7 image backup and restore let ghost retire at ease.

Create a backup

Importantly, the image feature of Win 7 has a strong advantage over ghost that it is free to add other partitions and directories to the image list and complete the backup work at once.

When we created the image file, the system partition of Win 7 was automatically included in the image file list. If you want to add additional directories, you can set up Backup (S) Under Backup options in the Backup and Restore panel, select the location where the backup files will be saved in the Settings window that pops up, and then "next" You can customize to add additional directories. As a result, data backup is very simple, and you can back up all the files at once without having to repeat them multiple times. It's a lot more flexible than ghost.

Set up backup locations

We all know that the use of ghost to backup the system, basically only after the computer has just been installed will do, after this does not seem to be how many people again to recreate an image file, although we have installed countless upgrades, updated a lot of software, Maybe it's because no one knows when their system is going to crash, so they're too lazy to make a backup again. But the problem is that when the system really crashes and needs to be restored, we can only blame ourselves for laziness. But in Win 7, this problem has been effectively resolved.

In the Backup and restore panel, enable schedule (U) to open a scheduled task to create a system image so that the system backs up at the time you choose and saves the backup file as you requested.

Tip: We can also use management space (M) in the Backup and restore panel to set the space occupied by backup files and choose how to preserve older system images. The latter selects the option to keep only the latest system images and minimize the space used by the backup. However, we recommend that you create a pure image file after the system installation and save it separately, and then select this option in the backup space management to avoid the system problems with the image files after the automatic backup.

How to Backup

Similar to the Ghost, in Win 7, image recovery can be done via CD-ROM or in the Win 7 desktop environment. If your system has crashed, you can start with the recovery CD and then select System Image Restore in the options to search for the image file and restore the system.
