Background
The system was just installed, and then a Windows Update update was made to install common software. Problems such as the slow opening of folders, the white icon, and the loading of folder contents have been found in Windows File Manager. A variety of attempts to finally solve the problem.
Reason
In the problem I encountered, I found that the Windows search service was turned off. When you try to open it manually, the error window pops up and the prompt fails to open, prompting the message "element cannot be found." The problem is that the Windows Search service cannot be opened. This way, Windows does not create the file index properly. So there's a slow open folder.
Solve
After finding the information on the Internet, the solution is:
1, in the Control Panel--Indexing options--advanced--reconstruction
2, Win + r--services.msc (can also be in the Control Panel management tools-local services)
3. Locate the Windows Search service and click Start
